IN NO ONE TO CONFIDE[/font]
Vampires have always lived among us, whether in secrecy or right next
door to you. The same thing went for werewolves. Oh, you didn't know
those existed, too? Sorry to burst your bubble, but there are all kinds of
strange creatures lurking in the night. You know of vampires. How could
you not? After the war that broke out in the late-1980s between the
vampires and the United States government, the whole world has been
weary of their existence. When the vampires found that in the 1960s
they could easily attack drugged out hippies and not be found out, they
became more bold. Their numbers grew rapidly in those twenty years,
as did the death and missing persons rates. Then they slipped up. A
dumb newborn made a mistake that screwed them all over by going
after a popular movie star. He was killed, they were exposed, and
all hell managed to break loose.
Outraged, vampires everywhere began to attack people. The
government struggled with their efforts to take them down before
discovering their weaknesses. Vampires were burned, staked through the
heart, and decapitated for months on end. It is known as the Vampire
Genocide. Millions of them were killed until it was believed no more
existed. During this time, werewolves sat back in horror, fearful that they
could be next, but the wiser ones knew the vampires had brought the
war upon themselves. Not all the vampires were killed off. They went
into hiding, most of them, underground. Anyone who knew about them
and did not report them, anyone who helped them, were punished to
death. It turned the entire world against them. The vampires who were
still alive grew to hate the humans more than they had before and
began to devise plans to destroy the human race. Fast forward nearly
twenty years later and it seems that their plans may start coming to
fruition.
But the werewolves know that the vampires are planning a massive
war again. This time, they plan to win. They're coming out from hiding
in the small town of Rollo, New Jersey. Fearful of what could happen if
the vampires come to power, they pick the more reasonable side: the
humans. If they help the humans, they believe that they may be spared
persecution. The vampires wish for revenge. The werewolves...well, they
wish for absolution.
